Silverado acquires memory care community in Southlake

Silverado has acquired Silver Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care in Southlake.

Beginning June 1, the Irvine, Calif.-based company will manage the 56-bed community at 2001 E. Kirkwood Blvd., now known as Silverado Southlake.

“We’re excited to welcome this community into the Silverado family, and we are incredibly proud of our leaders, associates and our association with professionals in the area who make it possible for us to improve the quality of life for those affected by memory impairment,” said president, chairman and CEO Loren B. Shook in a news release.

As part of the transition process, Silverado said it plans to work with the previous operator to ensure that resident care remains the top priority.

The six-acre property was developed in 2013. It includes a 39,000-square-foot, single-story building, with Silverado also planning to develop a 22-bed community on a one-acre section of the property.

With Silverado Southlake, the firm now operates five memory care communities, as well as hospice and at-home care services, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
