Fort Worth Building Permits

The Fort Worth City Council receives a monthly update on development activity in the city, as well as on the measures the staff is working on to improve the development process.

Here are some of the statistics from the April 17 report:

Building Permits

• In March 2018, 428 new single family permits were issued compared to 492 single family permits issued in February 2018, a decrease of 13 percent.

• The City issued 428 new single family permits in March 2018 compared to 594 new single family permits in March 2017, down 28 percent.

• In March 2018, 75 new commercial permits were issued compared to 70 new commercial permits issued in February 2018, up 7 percent.

• In March 2018, 75 new commercial permits were issued compared to 100 new commercial permits issued in March 2017, down 25 percent.

• Total commercial valuation (including remodels and additions) increased from $165 million in March 2018 from $126 million in February 2018, increase of 31 percent, but was down from $260 million in March 2017 by 36.5 percent.
