M2G Ventures has officially announced that four new-to-Fort Worth businesses will open their doors at the nearly 20,000 square-foot 710 South Main building – a newly renovated mixed-use creative space located in South Main Village area.

M2G took the lead on revitalizing the abandoned 710 building after acquiring it in 2017, curating the urban space to facilitate eclectic, new brands, creative office and artisanal retailers in the Near Southside including The Work Lodge, Black & White Brew, The Cookery and Locust Cider. All are either under construction or opened their doors in fall 2018.

After purchasing and completing extensive renovation of the property, M2G Ventures’ Artistic Director and acclaimed North Texas artist Katie Murray coated the brick-laden exterior with vibrant geometric artwork – one of the largest two-story murals in Fort Worth. By bringing life, color and intentional design to the once neglected building, M2G is proud to announce they have secured 100 percent of its space to creative entrepreneurs with fresh and inspiring concepts, all of which are set to be fully open in 2019.

“This is my absolute favorite building design M2G has ever spearheaded and we are even more pleased with the curation of the 710 South Main tenants,” said Jessica Miller of M2G. “From the high demand for co-working spaces in our fast-growing city to the fresh and inventive gourmet concept by The Cookery – I’m thrilled for Fort Worth to experience the revitalization of this beautiful space and the South Main Village as a whole.”

Already up-and-brewing, the city’s first cidery Locust Cider was founded by Fort Worth natives and brothers Patrick and Jason Spears. The internationally award-winning brand brings small batches of high-quality cider made from Washington’s finest apples and other fruits to the brothers’ hometown. Locust Cider in the Southside is their seventh location. A portion of Locust Cider’s profits are donated to the Hydrocephalus Association.

Just south of Downtown, the 710 South Main building is located on the corner of South Main and Cannon Street. With the recent completion of the city’s street renovation project, the multiple adaptive reuse developments, and residential projects are at the forefront of South Main Village’s resurgence.

“Locust Cider furthers the Near Southside’s ale trail, first established by their neighbor Rahr & Sons Brewery, and this casual and comfortable hangout is sure to become a local watering hole for locals and visitors alike,” said Near Southside Director of Events & Communications Megan Henderson. “Other retail tenants soon-to-open, The Cookery and Black, White & Brew, and Work Lodge will deliver highly active storefronts that bolster the pedestrian experience along this section of South Main Village, helping this signature Near Southside street live up to its name.”
