Sur La Table has upped Waterside’s culinary quotient as the kitchen-supply store confirms plans to open in the upscale mixed-use development.

“Sur La Table is a natural fit into the tenant lineup we’re building at Waterside,” said Terry Montesi, CEO of project developer Trademark Property Co., commenting in a news release.

The Fort Worth store is expected to open this summer after construction reaches fruition at Bryant Irvin Road and Arborlawn Drive.

Sur La Table officials have high hopes for the Cowtown location.

“We are thrilled to open another Sur La Table store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, bringing even more jobs to the neighborhood and satisfying the needs of residents who share our passion for cooking,” says Diane Neal, CEO of Sur La Table.

As part of its first phase of development — set for completion later this year — Waterside also will welcome Whole Foods Market, REI, Taco Diner, Zoë’s Kitchen, Blaze Pizza, Tokyo Joes, and additional retailers and local, chef-driven restaurants.

In addition to tenant openings, Phase I at Waterside also will include 383 multi-family units. At full buildout, Waterside will feature 200,000 square feet of retail space and riverside restaurants, 800 multifamily residential units, two to three hotels, office buildings and potential for additional high density single family housing, much of which will be situated along the Trinity River.
