Survey Says: Thumbs up for business, thumbs down for traffic in Collin County

CCBA Survey

Business in Collin County is good, but traffic congestion is not so good, according to a survey by the Collin County Business Alliance (CCBA).

The organization surveyed 132 North Texas business leaders who attended CCBA’s 2016 Collin County State of the Business luncheon, which took place in May. The results were released in July.

According to the survey, 95 percent of responders were “extremely likely” or “likely” to recommend Collin County as a place where businesses can expand or relocate. Additionally, 82 percent believe that quality of life in Collin County is either “very improved” or “somewhat improved,” and 73 percent expressed confidence in the public school system.

The downside of doing business in Collin County? Traffic congestion. The majority of the survey responders cited traffic as the No. 1 challenge in the area, with No. 2 being the lack of public transportation options.
