Texas Live! sets grand opening with Toadies, Kip Moore

Texas Live! will go live August 9 with the beginnings of a grand opening celebration, the Texas Rangers, The Cordish Companies and the City of Arlington announced June 21.

The celebrations will take place Thursday, Aug. 9 – Sunday, Aug. 12 in the Arlington Entertainment District. The $250 million dining, entertainment and hospitality district will debut 200,000 square feet of local, regional and national dining and entertainment, as well as a 5,000-capacity outdoor event pavilion, Arlington Backyard.

At 8 p.m. on Aug. 9, a free concert featuring Toadies with Eleven Hundred Springs will kick things off at Arlington Backyard. At the same time, PBR Texas, Troy’s, Sports & Social Arlington and a signature venue by celebrity chef Guy Fieri will open to the public.

On Friday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m., Texas Live! opens to the public, followed in the evening by a Texas Rangers Away Game Watch Party. At 8 p.m., in the Arlington Backyard, National Recording Artist Bleachers with Special Guests Joywave will play.

Under construction nearby is a 14-story, 302-room luxury Live! by Loews – Arlington, TX hotel with a 35,000 square foot Grand Event Center. It is set to open in 2019.
