Founded in 2000 by Martha Williams, Joan Trew and Marshall Boyd, Williams Trew Real Estate has made a name for itself as one of the leading residential real estate firms in Fort Worth and Tarrant County.

As Fort Worth grew, so did the firm, eventually growing to more than 80 agents providing homebuyers and sellers with experience in residential, farm and ranch, lake or urban properties in the greater Fort Worth area.

But 2015 – with more national and international firms calling North Texas – Williams Trew was acquired by Dallas-based residential real estate brokerage Ebby Halliday Real Estate Inc. The brand equity created by Williams Trew was in evidence as the firm will continue to be branded and conduct business under the name Williams Trew with the added appellation – an Ebby Halliday Real Estate company. And, of course, Williams and Trew continue in their leadership positions with the firm.

“We are pleased to join Ebby Halliday and believe this move significantly strengthens our leading position in the Fort Worth marketplace,” said Martha Williams.

The changes come as Texas – North Texas in particular – becomes one of the hottest residential home markets in the country. Texas home sales rose significantly in the first quarter of 2016, while housing inventory fell to an all-time low, according to the Texas Association of Realtors.

“Timing is everything, and the timing of this move meets current market needs and positions our company to better serve current and future residents of Fort Worth,” said Mary Frances Burleson, president and CEO of the Ebby Halliday Companies. “This acquisition brings together two like-minded companies with many years of residential real estate experience.”
