The Trademark Property Company and Hutson Creative on May 21 received a MAXI award for Waterside by Fort Worth’s grand opening last year. The awards ceremony was held in Las Vegas at RECon, the world’s largest real estate convention.
Waterside is owned and developed by Trademark, and their grand opening was held in November 2016. The event aimed to celebrate the best of Fort Worth while showing off the Waterside property. The event included a festival with art, food and drink, and entertainment along with an over the river fireworks show. The event also served as a benefit for area nonprofits Tarrant Area Food Bank, Don’t Forget To Feed Me and Streams & Valleys.
Trademark Property was awarded silver in the International Council of Shopping Centers 2017 U.S. MAXI Awards for the traditional marketing category for their work on the event.
“Trademark is proud that Waterside’s inaugural event was recognized alongside some of the best properties nationwide,” said Angela Hall, Waterside general manager and marketing director, in a news release. “We designed Waterside to be a community gathering place and created Waterside by Fort Worth to showcase what’s great about our city. This prestigious award is a great a representation of Fort Worth.”
MAXI awards are annual awards given out nationally within the Real Estate Industry to those who host the most innovative events and programs or use technologies that add value to shopping centers and companies nationwide.
Huston Creative partnered with Fort Worth-based Trademark for the event developed the concept and branding as well as the promotional material for WxFW, in addition to planning and executing the logistics and behind-the-scenes of the event.
Trademark also won awards for initiatives at several other properties including Burr Ridge Village Center in Burr Ridge, Illinois; Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge; Market Street in The Woodlands; and Market Street Flowood in Flowood, Mississippi.
