The Walton Group of Companies has announced homebuilders for Chisholm Trail Ranch, a master-planned community of residential and commercial properties in Fort Worth.
The builders are Antares Homes, Dunhill Homes, HistoryMaker Homes and Sandlin Homes
“We’re excited to work with Antares, Dunhill, HistoryMaker and Sandlin Homes on this landmark first project along the new Chisholm Trail Parkway,” said John Vick, president-South Region with Walton, commenting in a news release.
“We selected these veteran local builders for their experience and the quality of their homes. They are an integral piece in establishing Chisholm Trail Ranch as we introduce this fresh, new thoughtfully-crafted community that meets the needs of the way families’ live today,” Vick said.
Walton, a privately held, multinational real estate investment and development group, announced the project late last year and broke ground on the development in October 2015.
The Arizona-based firm, with offices in Texas, touts the development as the first such project along the $1.4 billion Chisholm Trail Parkway, which opened in May 2014.
Construction financing is provided by Southwest Bank of Fort Worth.
Chisholm Trail Ranch, at Chisholm Trail Parkway and McPherson Boulevard, is part of the Crowley Independent School District and will be served by a new elementary school, which will be part of the first phase of the development. Chisholm Trail Ranch will include approximately 1,100 single-family homes.
Antares Homes has been building homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for more than 18 years. Founded by Texas Association of Home Builders Hall of Honor member Ron Formby, the company was acquired by Tommy and Lisa McAden in December of 2013.
Dunhill Homes, a division of the Winchester Carlisle family of companies, is based in Dallas and has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an Energy Star Certified Homes Leadership in Housing Award recipient for 2013 and 2014.
HistoryMaker Homes is family-owned and operated and has a history of Dallas-Fort Worth home construction. Sandlin Homes also is a family-owned business. It was named “Texas Builder of the Year” by the Texas Association of Builders, as well as the Greater Fort Worth Association of Builders “Builder of the Year” in 1971, 1990, 2000, 2002 and 2014.
The commercial and retail component of Chisholm Trail Ranch will be executed by Stratford Land and the real estate investment firm Legacy Capital. “Building the residential portion is the first step in transforming Chisholm Trail Ranch into a flourishing community with retail, shopping and dining,” said Peter Aberg, Partner at Legacy Capital.
