Diesslin Group Inc., a financial services firm, has signed a lease for 6,652 square feet on the fifth floor of the new Westbrook building at 425 Houston Street. The Westbrook is now more than 90 percent leased, according to Sundance Square officials.
In addition, The Deena Jo Heide-Diesslin Foundation has taken more than 900 square feet also on the fifth floor. Robert Gamblin, leasing representative, and Bill Booker, director of leasing with Sundance Square negotiated the leases. Sundance Square also announced Atlas Resource Partners, an oil and gas exploration and production company, has added another 13,000 square feet on the second floor of The Westbrook bringing their total square footage to 40,000. The company signed a lease last October for more than 24,000 square feet and currently occupy the entire third and fourth floors of the building.
“The Westbrook has been highly sought after since the completion of the plaza,” said Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square. “With the expansion of Atlas Resource Partners, as well as the additions of White House Black Market and the Diesslin Group, we only have one retail space available in the building and a little more than 3,000 square feet available of Class A office space on the fifth floor. We are glad to have The Cassidy coming online this summer.” The Cassidy at 407 Throckmorton Street will be completed in late July with six floors and more than 99,000 square feet, including 12,196 square feet of retail and 12,187 square feet of residential space. This L-shaped building is actually two buildings. The Cassidy will front Throckmorton with the Trust building facing Houston. The top floor of the connected buildings will feature residential living with six luxury penthouse apartments. The one- and two-bedroom units will have outdoor terraces with floor to ceiling glass walls.
