Yates names new Fort Worth division manager

W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company is committing new resources to its office here with the addition of Scott Pitt as its new division manager in Fort Worth.

“We are excited to welcome Scott who brings a wealth of leadership and construction knowledge to our team,” said Yates Construction President and CEO William Yates. “Yates Construction’s experience and growth focused on mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, multi-unit residential and office construction in this market are in good hands with Scott and we look forward to increased engagement in the Fort Worth community.”

As division manager, Pitt is responsible for providing operational leadership for all divisional aspects including a vision and path to achieve long-term goals, proactive leadership and direction to maintain the highest level of quality on every construction project, mentoring and managing project teams, business development, resource management, contract negotiations, safety management and profitability.

Pitt, who garners almost 20-years’ experience in commercial construction management of hospitality, municipal, multi-family, condominium, senior living, Class A office and higher education, among other areas, graduated from Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology with an emphasis on construction. While in college, he played four years of football.

Locally, Yates Construction is a member of Downtown Fort Worth Inc., Near Southside, Inc., the Real Estate Council of Fort Worth, the American Subcontractors Association – North Texas, Association of General Contractors (AGC) and Construction Management Association of America – North Texas Chapter (CMAA North Texas). Yates Construction has been in Fort Worth since 2007.
