The next installment of Books That Cook will be June 22 at the Southwest Regional Library in Fort Worth. The theme is Cowboy Cooking and it is focused on three Texas chefs and cookbook authors: Mike Micallef of Reata, Tom Perini of Perini Ranch and Lou Lambert of Lambert’s and Dutch’s Hamburgers.
The free event will include a panel discussion moderated by June Naylor. Naylor, also a cookbook author, will dive into vast experience from Micallef, Perini and Lambert and how each embraces local ingredients, recipes and traditional Texas techniques. Naylor and the Cowboys will discuss their cookbooks in some detail, as well as the process of putting the books together. Each author will have their cookbooks for sale and will be available to sign copies. The library is at the corner of South Hulen Street and Briarhaven Road.
