After opening a Hurst store in early May, Rusty Tacos (now R Tacos) quietly opened the first of two new locations in town a few weeks ago on Bluebonnet Circle.

Next up will be at the Ridglea Village corner spot that once housed Wild Mushroom steakhouse. They are hoping to have their second Fort Worth location open by the end of June or early July at the latest.

“We are thrilled to bring Rusty Taco to Fort Worth, says Greenbriar Restaurant Holdings CEO Conner Cupit (Rusty Taco franchisee). “This outstanding brand has become well-known and embraced throughout Texas and beyond for its fresh, authentic menu, comfortable atmosphere and extremely affordable prices.” Most tacos run around $2.50.

Along with simple, succulent, street-style tacos, R Tacos serves a fresh signature margarita proudly made with “cheap tequila and fresh lime juice.” Some of the classic tacos include: Roasted Pork rubbed with coarse pepper, sea salt and garlic, then roasted and served with cotija cheese and pickled red onions, and Baja Shrimp filled with crispy or grilled shrimp with creamy Baja sauce, red cabbage and cilantro.

“We have stayed true to the laid-back atmosphere and straightforward approach to outstanding food and service that was the vision of founder Rusty Fenton. Our first Fort Worth restaurant, on Bluebonnet Circle near TCU campus, is already off to a fantastic start, and we are confident that our Ridglea Village location will delight our Fort Worth guests with an equally enjoyable experience,” Cupit said.
