Don’t feel like driving to Driftwood to taste some classic Texas barbecue?
Next year you can head to Grapevine. Salt Lick BBQ plans to begin construction later this year on a 10 acre site in Grapevine. The site, which have 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining as well as a specialty wine and beer bar, should be open in late 2018. Salt Lick officials. The location is at a site near the intersection of Grapevine Mills Parkway and Grapevine Mills Boulevard.
“We have searched the Metroplex the last 10 years for a site where the look and feel of the place would remind us of the hill country and allow us to recreate the backyard BBQ party we have in Driftwood,” said Scott Roberts, owner of Salt Lick BBQ in a news release. “We have finally found a hill country home in Grapevine.”
Salt Lick BBQ does have locations at the Austin airport and at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
