Tropical Smoothie Cafe will be giving out free Sunshine Smoothies from 2pm to 7pm Friday June 16 to celebrate their own holiday, National Flip Flop Day.
How do you get a free smoothie? According to Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s website, the free smoothie is given to anyone who comes to the store wearing flip flops. The free smoothie will be served in their new 16 oz. limited edition souvenir cups celebrating their 20th anniversary.
National Flip Flop Day was created by Tropical Smoothie Cafe and occurs every year on the third Friday of June. According to Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s website, the event is designed to show appreciation for their customers and to start off their fundraising for Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine.
Camp Sunshine is a retreat for families that have children with life-threatening illnesses. According to Camp Sunshine’s website, the program is the only year-round retreat model program in the nation that was designed to serve the whole family as well as the child. The program offers on-site psychosocial, bereavement and medical support and is also free to these families.
