Let them eat cake? They may have to as Whataburger, Raising Cane’s and In-N-Out Burger have all had issues with bread lately.
On Monday, In-N-Out Burger closed its North Texas locations after the company said there were problems with the chain’s buns. After receiving a shipment from California, the restaurants reopened Wednesday.
But what some have termed “Breadgate” wasn’t over. Whataburger said Wednesday it was also having bread trouble and was not serving white bread buns. Later, Raising Cane’s announced it too was not serving buns, nor Texas Toast.
Some outlets have reported that Whataburger is back to serving white bread buns, but company officials have not confirmed that report.
