What began life on Magnolia Avenue as an apparel concept by owners Tommy and Tammy Brown quickly shifted gears last year to a wine and beer bar more in keeping with its catchy name, 44 Bootlegger, and rustic ambience. “We just celebrated our one year anniversary. My, how time flies,” said Tommy Brown.
Now 44 Bootlegger is adding a new twist. “We are launching a French-inspired menu. Jaime Fernandez is our chef with over 10 years of experience,” Brown said. In addition to the bar’s rotating selection of 44 wines from around the world and 44 beers from around the country, customers can enjoy French selections such as cheese and charcuterie, endive salad, steak tartar, or pommes frites with house-made aioli. Everything is freshly made and a dessert of the day will be offered
