Charles Johnson appointed as Dallas Wings senior vice president of corporate partnerships

The Dallas Wings announced the appointment of their new senior vice president of corporate partnerships in Charles Johnson, Thursday, July 27.

Johnson comes to the Wings with 10 years of sports and entertainment experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies. According to a company news release, Johnson will “lead the team’s corporate partnership initiatives and helping the Dallas-Fort Worth’s WNBA entry continue to expand and grow its brand throughout the North Texas region.”

“I am excited to join an organization that is developing in the D-FW market,” Johnson stated. “I have a daughter, and as a father, I personally consider this to be an honor to be a part of a league that promotes strong female role models. I look forward to growing with the team and making the Wings a household name.”

In addition to his industry experience in marketing, Johnson holds a 2002 a bachelor of arts in communications and a 2004 master of science in interdisciplinary studies from Texas Tech University. Additionally, he has on-the-field sports experience from his time as a defensive back for the Red Raiders.

Prior to his new role with the Dallas Wings, Johnson worked with the Dallas Cowboys Football Club as manager of corporate partnerships.
