Cowboys’ Claiborne on field day after walking out

IRVING, Texas (AP) — Morris Claiborne is back with the Dallas Cowboys a day after walking out on the team when he was told he had lost his starting job at cornerback to Orlando Scandrick.

Claiborne, who was beaten for several big plays before making the clinching interception in a 34-31 win at St. Louis last weekend, will play Sunday against Drew Brees and New Orleans.

Coach Jason Garrett said Claiborne faced discipline, but declined to offer specifics. He practiced Wednesday.

The former top 10 pick started the first three games, but only because Scandrick was out on a drug suspension when the season began. Scandrick’s four-game ban was rescinded after two games, and he and Claiborne played a similar number of snaps against the Rams.
