It’s ‘Caddyshack’ time in Fort Worth as Bill Murray plays Dean & Deluca Pro-Am

It was “Caddyshack” time at the Dean & Delucca Invitation on Wednesday as comedian/actor Bill Murray teamed up with Dallas golfer Jordan Spieth and tournament chairman Bobby Patton.

“Caddyshack” is a 1980 American sports comedy directed by Harold Ramis and stars Murray as Carl Spackler a country club groundskeeper that has an ongoing – and escalating – battle with a troublesome, toothy gopher.

Kenny Loggins sang the hit song, “I’m Alright” in the film. The film is often rated in the Top 25 list of best comedies of all time.

Gourmet food service company Dean & DeLuca has a six-year deal to sponsor the tournament.
