Rangers tickets available Friday

Baseball

Individual tickets for all 2017 games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington – except the home opener on Monday, April 3 – go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, March 3, at the Globe Life Park in Arlington First Base Box Office, at texasrangers.com and by phone at 972.RANGERS, the ball club announced.

The process for the 2017 season and home opener against the Cleveland Indians is a bit more complicated. The Rangers said the club is offering an on-line registration opportunity that will allow fans the chance to buy tickets. From now until Monday, March 6 at 5 p.m., fans can go to texasrangers.com/OpeningDay and sign up to receive Texas Rangers emails. A pool of randomly selected registrants will be chosen and given access to an online home opener opportunity, based on available inventory. Those selected will be notified by email no later than Wednesday, March 8. A limited number of reserved seats, obstructed view seating, and standing room only tickets will be included in the ticket opportunity.

The Rangers said there is no charge to register, and this will be the only chance for single game tickets for the home opener. Fans can guarantee tickets by buying a full season and partial season ticket plan. For more information: texasrangers.com.

The Rangers also announced that the club plants to retire Ivan Rodriguez’ number on Saturday, Aug. 12.
