Texas Rangers Foundation announces Make-A-Wish North Texas partnership

Several initiatives planned during remainder of 2018 season

The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation announced Friday, June 8, a partnership with Make-A-Wish North Texas, which will have the two organizations collaborating on several major initiatives over the next several months, a news release said.

“The Texas Rangers Foundation is proud to partner with Make-A-Wish North Texas,” Neil Leibman Rangers COO and Foundation Chairman, said in the release. “It is an honor and privilege for us to be involved with the great work that Make-A-Wish does in celebrating the tremendous courage and spirit of the wish kids and their families.”

To kick off the partnership, The Texas Rangers Foundation’s net proceeds from Friday’s Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle was donated to Make-A-Wish North Texas. More information can be found at texasrangers.com/texas2split.

Additionally, Friday at Globe Life Park the Rangers hosted a Make-A-Wish kid, who attended the game and participated in various special activities with the team.

The release explained that the Rangers will hold Make-A-Wish North Texas Weekend on Friday, August 31 and Saturday and Sunday, September 1-2 when the club hosts the Minnesota Twins. The Texas Rangers Foundation’s net proceeds from the team’s Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle for those three games will be donated to Make-A-Wish North Texas.

Additionally, the Rangers Foundation will host Make-A-Wish families for each of the games during the Minnesota series, and there is expected to be a Make-A-Wish North Texas group night at one of the Rangers’ games that weekend.
