Dennis Jones and Irwin Ellis, graduates of Dunbar and Polytechnic high schools, respectively, led the Prairie View A&M University Panthers to the 2019 SWAC Championship and an automatic 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament bid. The Panthers face Fairleigh Dickinson at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in Dayton, Ohio, in the tournament’s very first game, which airs live on truTV.

The winner advances to play No. 1 seed-Gonzaga as the No. 16 seed in the West Region on Thursday, March 21 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
