Airbus Helicopters of Grand Prairie names new leader at Mississippi plant

COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) — Airbus Helicopters Inc. has named Robert Boman as director/site manager for the company’s Columbus, Mississippi, helicopter assembly plant and operations.

The Grand Prairie company says in a news release that Boman is responsible for management and administration of the Columbus facility, including compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration and Defense Contract Management Agency regulatory agencies,.

He will also coordinate with senior Airbus Helicopters Inc. leaders for military and commercial aircraft programs, quality, flight operations, finance and human resources.

Boman joined Airbus in 2008 after a 23-year career in the Air Force.
