BNSF Logistics LLC, a multi-modal third-party logistics service provider based in Flower Mound, announced Tuesday, Jan. 2, plans to open a new office in St. Petersburg, Florida.
According to a company news release, this new office will continue BNSF’s efforts to strengthens its logistics service offerings across North America, in addition to providing increased local resources to support BNSF worldwide.
“The Tampa Bay region is one of the fastest growing areas in the country due to its reasonable cost of living, overall quality of life and opportunities for recent college graduates in a variety of industries,” BNSF Regional Manager Jason Skorczewski said in the release.
Skorczewski added that BNSF chose downtown St. Petersburg for the office’s location because of its proximity to the Hillsborough, Pinellas and Manatee counties.
The St. Petersburg office will be led by Sam Garnatz as Branch Manager and he will be transferring from the Downtown Chicago office. Garnatz steps into his new role with more than seven years of logistics experience, including two-and-a-half years as a BNSF Logistics account manager, behind him.
