DFW Airport adding new features during spring break travel season

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport has implemented some new initiatives to improve convenience and reduce cost during the busy spring break season when nearly 3.8 million travelers will catch flights.

The initiatives are:

• Prepaid parking online. By taking advantage of this option, terminal parking is $10 a day for travel through May 31. To book online parking, visit dfwairport.com/parking.

• TSA wait-time technology helps passengers navigate TSA security checkpoints more efficiently. Wait times are shown on screens in real time at security checkpoints in Terminals C and D so passengers can determine whether to wait there or walk to another checkpoint. The technology will be added to other terminals in the next few months.

• Mobile Passport. International travelers can use Mobile Passport Control, available through the DFW Airport Mobile App, to create a profile, add trip information and respond to U.S. Customs and Border Protection inspection questions to reduce wait times.

• Order food through an app. Download the DFW Mobile App or GRAB App to order food in all five terminals. This option allows users to pickup food when they arrive and skip the ordering line. Save 20 percent on the first order by using promo code DFW.
