ECi Software Solution acquires two companies

ECi Software Solutions, a Fort Worth-based leader in cloud-based business management solutions, has announced two recent acquisitions – Lasso Data Systems, a leading provider of cloud-based CRM software for new home marketing and sales and Print Audit, one of the most comprehensive providers of device and print management solutions worldwide, ECi said in a news release.

Lasso’s product suite includes a feature-rich CRM solution built exclusively for the homebuilding industry, including lead management, automated engagement and follow-up processes, email marketing and comprehensive reporting capabilities. Lasso will become part of ECi’s Residential Home Construction Division, and the team will report to ECi’s Residential Home Construction President, Scott Duman, ECi said.

“Since our founding, Lasso’s goal has been to collaborate with our users to create software that makes it easier for homebuilders to do their daily tasks, build deeper relationships and radically improve their sales results and ROI,” Dave Clements, CEO of Lasso, said in the news release.

“Joining with ECi will help us accomplish that goal on a much larger scale than we could on our own, and we’re excited to realize our new potential,” Clements said.

Print Audit’s product suite includes tools for managed print services (MPS), device data collection and document management for both dealers and users. Print Audit will become part of ECi’s Field Service Division, and the team will report to ECi’s Field Service President, Laryssa Alexander.

Founded in 2005, Lasso serves more than 500 builders, real estate developers and new home sales agencies on thousands of communities in North America.

With this acquisition, ECi has added a market-leading CRM solution to its product suite that includes MarkSystems, its flagship ERP for homebuilders, and LotVue, its site map software for homebuilders and developers, the news release said.

“ECi has always been committed to fostering our customers’ entrepreneurial spirit and giving them the resources they need to profitably grow their businesses,” said Ron Books, CEO of ECi. “A large part of that strategy is always looking for new ways to make our technology offerings as well-rounded as possible. Adding Lasso, a widely used and broadly recognized CRM for homebuilders and developers to our suite of solutions, will give our customers another way to grow their businesses as efficiently and competitively as possible.”

The deal closed on December 6 and terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Calgary, Canada, Print Audit not only helps dealers remotely manage their printer fleets but has also developed a variety of tools that enable organizations to monitor and control user printing behavior, the ECi release said.

Print Audit is the first provider of remote monitoring and management services (RMM) to provide a seat-based billing (SBB) model for managed print. With this acquisition, ECi adds strong print rule and document management capabilities to its own software offerings, creating one of the most comprehensive suites of services for the office equipment industry.

“ECi is committed to offering world-class software solutions for our office equipment and managed print services customers, and we’re always looking for opportunities to improve those offerings. Print Audit is the perfect addition to our suite, giving us the opportunity to add valuable capabilities to our offerings for the benefit of our customers,” Books said.

The deal closed on Nov. 30 and terms were not disclosed.

Privately held ECi is headquartered in Fort Worth and for more than 30 years has small to medium-sized manufacturing, wholesale/retail distribution, building and construction, and field service organizations.

It has offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, England, the Netherlands and Australia.
