Fort Worth-based ECi Software Solutions has acquired the assets of Red Cheetah Software LP of Austin for an undisclosed price, the company announced June 5. The ECi family of companies provides business and e-commerce solutions, offering on-premise and cloud-based technologies. For more than 30 years, the privately-held IT company has served the manufacturing, office equipment, office supplies, contract office furniture, lumber and building materials, hardware and jan/san sectors. The company has offices and companies throughout the U.S., Australia, England and the Netherlands. ECi’s acquisition of Red Cheetah will allow both companies to better serve the needs of dealers in the office products and adjacent industries. Red Cheetah’s products and services will become part of ECi’s office supplies portfolio. “Red Cheetah, in name, products and employees, represents the same mission as ECi: to support the entrepreneurial spirit of independent dealers by providing the best industry-specific solutions to manage their businesses and keep them competitive,” said Ron Books, president and chief executive officer of ECi. “We are very proud that the Red Cheetah organization has joined the family. This acquisition demonstrates our focus and commitment to the office supplies industry and the dealers. We will work together to ensure they are well served and continue to prosper.”
