“Safety is not only a priority, it is a part of our culture at FTSI,” said Mark Hansen, the firm’s vice president of health, safety and environment.

“It plays a part in every aspect of our business. We are honored to be recognized for our innovations and commitment to the health and safety of our employees, customers and the communities in which we work,” Hansen said.

The Oil & Gas Awards serves as a forum for oil and gas industry officials to demonstrate and celebrate advances in environmental stewardship, efficiency, innovation, corporate social responsibility, and health and safety.

FTSI’s entry featured information about the company’s Remote Actuated Manifold (RAM) innovation, intended to improve safety by facilitating remote control of high pressure valves. The firm said that eliminates the need for workers to physically manipulate the valves. The entry also focused on other FTSI safety innovations, including a robust training program.
