GOP-led panel to question officials on FBI probe of Clinton

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans angry at the FBI for not recommending charges against Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server will question officials about the decision.

The hearing scheduled for Monday evening is the second in a series targeting the Democratic presidential nominee.

The GOP-led House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is expected to focus on parts of the file from the FBI’s yearlong probe into whether then-Secretary of State Clinton mishandled classified information that flowed through her private email server.

The FBI provided the records to Congress last month and warned lawmakers the documents are not to be made public.

Republicans have said the documents “did not constitute a complete investigative file” as many of the records had been substantially blacked out or were missing.
