Performance Aircraft Services Inc., Grapevine, has been awarded a $57.1 million in a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the removal and replacement of sealant on fuel cells and aircraft surfaces, as well as on the internal surface of wing fuel tanks for up to 16 E-6B aircraft, the Navy announced July 2.

In addition, the contract provides for the application of upgraded fuel cell sealant to achieve weight savings. Work will be performed in Waco, (75 percent); and Oklahoma City, (25 percent), and is expected to be completed in May 2023. Funds will be obligated on individual task orders as they are issued. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting.
