Lockheed Martin receives $41.5M contract for work in Fort Worth

Lockheed Martin Corp. has announced plans to purchase Sikorsky Aircraft.

Lockheed Martin Corp’s Fort Worth-based LMT Aeronautics Division on Nov. 19 received a $41.5-million modification contract for procuring Xilinx and Intel-Altera Diminishing Manufacturing Sources to support future aircraft deliveries for the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy as well as Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers for parts that need to be replaced.

The work will be performed in Fort Worth and is expected to be completed in February 2019.

This delivery order combines purchases for the Air Force ($22.9 million, 55 percent); Marine Corps ($13.5 million, 33 percent); Navy ($4.8 million, 11 percent); and FMS ($300,609; 1 percent). The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting entity.
