Frisco-based telecom equipment provider Genband has named David Walsh as president and CEO, replacing Charlie Vogt, who left to join a private equity backed venture in Denver.

Walsh previously served as director at One Equity Partners (OEP), the private investment arm of JPMorgan Chase. He joined the Genband board with the merger with NextPoint in 2008. He assumed the position of chairman in 2010 following the acquisition of the Nortel Carrier VoIP and Application Solutions business, with OEP providing the investment capital.

At Harris Broadcast, a manufacturer of television and radio broadcast systems, Vogt will replace Harris Morris as president and CEO.
