Priority Power Management LLC has secured a renewable electricity supply contract for Abilene Christian University.

The deal follows the Texas-based independent energy management and consulting firm’s 2009 contract it negotiated for the school supported by West Texas renewable wind and fossil fuel resources. The new contract, set to continue until March 2025, includes Green-e Certified Renewable Energy Credits for all of the school’s contracted usage.

“In keeping with the mission and principles of our sustainability initiative, ACU Green, we are always looking for ways to be better stewards of our resources,” said Kevin Roberts, associate vice president of operations with the firm, commenting in a news release.

“By purchasing 100 percent renewable energy, we support the continued development of renewable energy resources, while at the same time lowering our long-term cost of electricity,” Roberts said.
