RadioShack Corp. will open its latest Manhattan concept store on Saturday as the Fort Worth company deepens its New York area presence.

The newly remodeled store, near Broadway and 57th streets, is among more than a dozen concept stores to open in Manhattan since the company debuted its first concept store in the area last year.

“Manhattan is a strong market for RadioShack, and we are excited to be bringing the best RadioShack stores to the area. New Yorkers have been incredibly receptive to the interactive features of our new stores and the convenience of our neighborhood locations,” said CEO Joe Magnacca in a news release.

The concept stores feature interactive areas encouraging shoppers to discover personalized solutions, including a speaker wall controlled by in-store tablets and touchscreens, as well as apps to help shoppers better understand product benefits.

The Manhattan location is one of more than 25 concept stores to open since the company began converting to such stores in July 2013.
