TECH Fort Worth startup launches crowd-funding campaign

Remember Heroes, which enables loved ones to honor and virtually visit the gravesites of deceased American veterans, has launched a campaign on Indiegogo, an international crowd-funding site. Remember Heroes places fresh flowers on veteran’s graves and returns a virtual tour to the family of the deceased. The money raised online will help the Fort Worth-based company to expand its service to include all 3.7 million veterans buried in 128 national cemeteries.

“We chose Indiegogo because it allowed us to capture the impact of this service through video,” said Nick Cain, Remember Heroes’ chief operating officer. “The money we raise will be used to rapidly establish service at the largest and busiest cemeteries.”

Currently, Remember Heroes, a startup company of business incubator TECH Fort Worth, serves the families and friends of more than 1.7 million deceased veterans in 10 national cemeteries located in Dallas-Fort Worth; San Antonio; Riverside, Calif.; Honolulu, Hawaii; Denver, Colo.; Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn.; St. Louis, Mo.; Long Island, N.Y.; Arlington, Va.; Washington, D.C.; and Bushnell, Fla.
