Tesla Motors Inc. has plugged into University Park Village in Fort Worth as it rolls out food, giveaways and appointments to drive its high-end inventory.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday Feb. 12 through Sunday Feb. 14, visitors may schedule time to drive the Model S while learning about the latest tenant in University Park Village, 1612 S. University Drive.

This weekend’s grand opening sees the California-based electric car maker join the open-air shopping center that’s also home to The Apple Store, Williams-Sonoma, Ann Taylor and almost 30 other tenants.

Founded in 2003 by Silicon Valley engineers, Tesla designs and manufactures vehicles with zero emissions. The products allow drivers to charge their vehicles at home and never visit gas stations or spend money on gasoline. Tesla’s Supercharger network is known for making lengthy trips easier by providing free access to high-speed charging.
