Travelocity.com LP plans to lay off 14 workers at its Southlake office by Nov. 15 and more layoffs may be in the offing, according to a notice the travel website company filed with the Texas Workforce Commission on Sept. 16.

Travelocity, known for the traveling gnome in its marketing campaign, is owned by Sabre holdings. In August, it entered into a long-term marketing agreement with one of its key competitors Expedia Inc. According to the agreement, Expedia will handle the technology and customer service aspects of the site, while Travelocity will handle the marketing. – Robert Francis
