Trinh named assistant director at TechFW

Cathy Trinh

Cathy Trinh, a past co-organizer of 1 Million Cups in Fort Worth, long-time advisor and trainer of the Fort Worth Business Plan Competition and multi-award business advisor with the Tarrant Small Business Development Center (SBDC), has been named assistant director at TechFW, Executive Director Hayden Blackburn announced.

“To say the hire of the new Assistant Director is an important decision for the strategy and execution of our mission is an understatement,” Blackburn said. “Cathy immediately captured my attention as she is competitive, detail-oriented, experienced with advising and supporting entrepreneurs, and fearless in many ways. And having worked with SBDC, she already knew the TechFW team.”

Trinh’s responsibilities include coaching and direct service delivery with clients; recruiting mentors, entrepreneurs and investors to the M-Crew monitoring program; internal and human resources activities; and process improvement projects.

“I was born in a house with no running water nor electricity. I saw how entrepreneurship has lifted my family and many others out of poverty and transformed their lives. That’s why helping entrepreneurs is my life-long calling,” Trinh said. “I am excited to join TechFW and look forward to contributing my skills and expertise to the team’s successes.”
