Professional services firm JLL, which specializes in real estate and investment management, announced Thursday, Dec. 7, it has negotiated a new office lease for video game developer Boss Fight Entertainment’s new headquarters in Allen.
The gaming company will become the newest tenant at One Bethany East, the first building under construction at Allen’s One Bethany at Watters Creek — a 17-acre, multi-phase, corporate office by owner and developer Kaizen Development Partners. The company was previously in McKinney.
“Allen is an amazing city and with the addition of One Bethany at Watters Creek, it is everything you could ask for in a location,” said Scott Winsett, Boss Fight Entertainment COO, in a news release. “It has great character and the proximity to restaurants and entertainment venues as well as access to great talent made it an easy choice for us to build our headquarters and establish permanent roots here.”
Derrick Evers, CEO and managing partner of Kaizen Development Partners, added that Boss Fight Entertainment will fit right in with the “creative, cutting-edge tenants who have made One Bethany East their new corporate home.”
Commercial real estate consulting and brokerage service provider IC3 negotiated the lease on behalf of Boss Fight. The firm has been developing and implementing real estate strategies and solutions for the principals of Boss Fight since 2009.
In the release, IC3 President Bob Ikel said that of all the buildings and cities evaluated for Boss Fights needs and goals, the negotiations with One Bethany showed a “win-win-win” relationship for company, the landlords and the city.
“It’s great to see a high-tech gaming company like Boss Fight choose Allen for its next corporate headquarters,” Allen Mayor Stephen Terrell said in the release. “Not only will they enjoy a cutting-edge office building, they’ll be just across the street from some of our city’s best shopping and dining at Watters Creek. It’s the perfect location for a growing business.”
One Bethany at Watters Creek is located within walking distance shops, restaurants and apartments in the Watters Creek mixed-use development. The office park is planned for a mix of multi-tenant Class A office buildings and single-tenant build-to-suit Class A office buildings.
