Broken water main floods part of Trinity Park in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Water from a broken main has flooded part of a Fort Worth park as crews shut down other pipelines to stem the flow to the area.

Utility officials say nobody was hurt in Saturday’s water main break at Trinity Park.

Fort Worth water department officials are trying to determine what caused the 48-inch concrete line to give way.

Water was seen gushing several feet high and flooding portions of the park along the Trinity River. Some of the escaped water flowed down toward the river.

No public water outages were reported following the break.

Fort Worth police diverted some nearby street and bicycle traffic, as a precaution.
