Bus routes provide focus of public form

  A. Lee Graham Reporter         Residents are invited to comment on bus route options at a public meeting hosted by the Fort Worth Transportation Authority.   The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 22 at the Intermodal Transit Center, 1001 Jones St., Fort Worth.   Planners will hear public comment as they consider either continuing Sunday or weeknight bus service along Route 10. The services were added as part of temporary detours during West Seventh Street Bridge construction.   “We have received comments from riders that the temporarily increased Route 10 service was useful on a regular basis for shopping, getting to church and errands,” said Curvie Hawkins, The T’s assistant vice president of planning, commenting in a news release.   “We are now presenting options for continuing some level of increased service on that route now that construction on the bridge is complete,” Hawkins said.   Meanwhile, information will be presented on the new Route 69 service to the Flextronics plant in north Fort Worth. The Intermodal Transit Center is wheelchair accessible.  Information on translation, hearing or sigh-interpretive services is available by calling The T at 817-215-8621.   Comments also may be provided by calling The T’s hotline at 817-215-8793 or by sending an e-mail to tweb@the-t.com.   lgraham@bizpress.net
