Fort Worth gained a direct connection from westbound Interstate 20 to southbound Chisholm Trail Parkway late Sunday as the North Texas Tollway Authority opened a direct-connector ramp, the latest phase of the 27.6-mile roadway that opened May 11.
That’s when motorists gained a continuous route from downtown Fort Worth south to Cleburne. Chisholm Trail Parkway is expected to alleviate congestion on Interstate 35W, Texas 174, FM 1187, Bryant Irvin Road and Hulen Street, among other roadways.

The roadway marks NTTA’s first venture in Tarrant and Johnson counties.
