Closure at I-35W starting June 16

The main lanes of the Interstate 35W northbound going toward Western Center Boulevard will be closed starting at 9 p.m. on June 16 for construction. I-35W northbound main lanes will stay closed until 6 a.m. on June 19.

According to the City of Fort Worth website, the detour for drivers will start at the frontage road at Western Center Boulevard and will return drivers to the main lanes at the Western Center Boulevard entrance ramp.

The construction should take place as long as the weather permits. According to the website, anyone taking these routes should expect to be delayed. They also encourage these drivers to find an alternate route.

According to the North Tarrant Express website, other lane closures to look ahead at are:

– June 16 to June 17 from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m.: Southbound 1-35W south of Spur 280 will have all lanes temporarily closed during different times.

– June 16 to June 17 from 9pm to 10 am: Eastbound I-820 at 1-35W will have all lanes closed. Meacham Blvd. will be used to redirect traffic.

– June 16 to June 18 from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. (nightly): Eastbound I-820 frontage road and eastbound I-820 from FM 156 to Mark IV Pkwy will have all lanes closed temporarily during different times.

– June 16 to June 18 from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. (nightly): All lanes will be closed of eastbound I-820 west of FM 156. Meacham Blvd. will be used to redirect traffic.
