Coca-Cola opening pop-up ‘Share a Coke’ song zone at DFW Airport for two days

On Thursday and Friday this week Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Terminal E will turn into a music lounge and soundbar at Coca-Cola’s Share a Coke and a Song Zone. Located next to Gate E13, travelers can down an ice-cold Coke while singing, dancing and listening to their favorite summer tunes.

This is the first of a series of experiences that will be brought to DFW travelers through campaigns and held in each terminal (A, B, C, D and E) sponsored by Coca-Cola.

“We’ve partnered with Coca-Cola to create a fun, exciting travel experience for the record number of passengers who will travel through DFW Airport,” said Ken Buchanan, DFW Airport’s executive vice president of revenue management. “Thanks to our partnership with Coca-Cola, our passengers can enjoy the many different promotions we have planned throughout all our terminals to deliver an exciting and innovative experience.”

Life-size headphones that you can stand inside and listen to your favorite tunes

Moments at the Share a Coke and a Song Zone are sharable through social media, and guests can win prizes for participating. Follow or join the conversation with #ShareACoke and @dfwairport.

The Share a Coke and a Song Zone is part of the company’s “Share a Coke” summer campaign, now in its third year. Coke fans are encouraged to visit ShareaCoke.com to customize bottles with lyrics, names or inspiring messages. The site also features digital images that can be shared on social media.

Starting in mid-April this year, more than 70 lyrics – from classic hits to recent chart-toppers – will be featured on 8-oz. glass bottles, 7.5-oz. mini cans, 20-oz. bottles, 1.25- and 2-liter bottles, and 12-oz. cans of all four Trademark Coke brands.

“Share a Coke and a Song” also will feature lyrics from iconic Coca-Cola and Diet Coke ads such as “I’d Like To Buy The World A Coke”, “Taste the Feeling™” and “Just For The Taste Of It.” The complete list of lyrics featured on pack will be available at www.ShareaCoke.com.

“Share a Coke”, which originated in Australia in 2011 with advertising agency Ogilvy, has since rolled out in more than 70 countries, has helped Coke grow volume, revenue and share in its flagship market.
