Dallas Area Rapid Transit driver hit by another bus, dies

DALLAS (AP) — A Dallas Area Rapid Transit driver has died after being struck by a bus while walking at a DART vehicle facility.

Investigators say the driver died following the accident shortly before dawn Monday.

DART officials say the driver was outside his bus, at the transit complex where the vehicles are kept, when another bus struck him. The victim was transported to a Dallas hospital, where he died.

His name wasn’t immediately released. No passengers were on board the bus that hit the victim.

The accident remains under investigation.
