Motorists frustrated by West Seventh Street Bridge construction have another road closure to consider with Forest Park Boulevard scheduled to close beginning Monday June 17. The closure is needed for construction activities associated with the Chisholm Trail Parkway project. From June 17 to July 31, the stretch between Interstate 30 and the eastbound I-30 frontage road will be closed in both directions between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. On weekends, it will close from 8 p.m. Fridays through 5 a.m. Mondays. As an alternate route, motorists headed westbound I-30 to southbound Forest Park may take the University Drive exit south, then travel east on Rosedale Street to Forest Park Boulevard. The detour for those traveling eastbound I-30 to northbound Forest Park is taking Rosedale Street, turning north on Summit Avenue-Eighth Avenue to the westbound I-30 frontage road, and taking westbound I-30 and exiting at north Forest Park. Northbound Forest Park traffic may continue north and take the I-30 eastbound frontage road before turning north onto Summit Avenue to the I-30 westbound frontage road before entering I-30 westbound and exiting Forest Park. Those taking Forest Park northbound to westbound I-30 may take the eastbound I-30 frontage road and turn north onto Summit to the I-30 westbound frontage road. Those taking Forest Park southbound to continue south may take Parkview Drive to westbound I-30, exit south on University Drive, then travel east on Rosedale Street to Forest Park. Motorists traveling Forest Park southbound to eastbound I-30 may take Parkview Drive to westbound I-30, exit south on University Drive and travel east on Rosedale Street to Summit Avenue-Eighth Avenue on the I-30 eastbound frontage road.
