🕐 1 min read

A Fort Worth bus and para-transit conference continues Monday and Tuesday, inviting attendees to see and learn more about the vehicles providing public transportation.

Sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association and hosted by the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T), the conference that began on Sunday May 3 features several events before ending on Tuesday May 5.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday is a public transit bus display outside the Fort Worth Convention Center on Commerce Street, where manufacturer representatives will discuss their products and answer the questions.

Inside the convention center is a bus products and services showcase, with the 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. event allowing registrants to view products and learn about the latest bus and paratransit information.

On Tuesday is a veterans’ job fair, highlighting career paths for U.S. military veterans in public transportation, including management, operations, maintenance, engineering, manufacturing and technology. The fair takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, third floor, Sundance 4 room.

Rounding out the event is Walk and Roll, a wellness gathering hosted by the APTA, Easter Seals Inc., Easter Seals North Texas and The T. The event encourages residents to walk or use one’s wheelchair on a route from the hotel to the Fort Worth Water Gardens and back to the hotel for refreshments.
