Higginbotham has merged with Plano-based Diversified Insurance Management, an independent insurance agency specializing in insurance for the recreational vehicle sector, the Fort Worth company announced Oct. 10.
The consolidation adds to the list of insurance and financial services Higginbotham offers, the company said in a press release. Higginbotham has more than 20 industry practice groups that cater to companies with specialized risks.
“Diversified is actively involved in the RV association space and regarded for its almost four decades in the RV industry,” said Higginbotham Chairman and CEO Rusty Reid. “Their experience in the RV market is a major tick for Higginbotham and our authority to serve that segment.”
Opened in 1980, Diversified Insurance Management has more than 300 dealerships nationwide as clients.

Wilkins will continue leading Diversified’s 20-person office in Plano while also serving as a managing director at Higginbotham, the largest Texas-based broker by revenue.
