The Fort Worth Transportation Authority, or The T, will end its Saturday bus service early, with its last outbound trip set for 5 p.m. due to icy road conditions.
All routes have some Saturday Dec. 7 bus service, but all schedules are delayed due to ice. Buses have been reported trapped on nearly impassable roads, with conditions expected to worsen after dark.
As a result of limited service availability in the area’s worst freeze since the 2011 Super Bowl, The T will continue waiving bus fares.Â
Meanwhile, Trinity Railway Express is currently operating on time, though passengers should expect minimal delays due to the weather, according to a news release.
The T advises passenger to exercise caution when walking through TRE stations and bus transfer centers, though walkways, station platforms and ramps have been sanded.
Regular bus and TRE schedules may be viewed at www.the-t.com, and customers may call The T’s customer service number at 817-215-8600 for weather related updates and detours. Customer Service representatives will end service at 6 p.m. due to inclement weather.
